Our Southbridge Public Schools team gathered this morning for a convocation full of energy, connection, and purpose. The Middle High School band greeted attendees with an energizing performance of “Valerie”, creating a vibrant start to the day.
Receiver/Superintendent Bill Metzger and Assistant Superintendent Judy Maisonet shared thoughtful and uplifting remarks that underscored our shared commitment to students and community. We celebrated every member of our team, from first-year teachers to those who have served Southbridge for more than 30 years.
We reviewed our district goals with a clear focus on the vital role of relationship-building in our schools. A recurring theme of today was how “ordinary” teachers have had extraordinary impacts on all of our lives, and how small gestures can stick with us long after we’ve left school. We strive to be that change in our students' lives today and encourage all of our staff to see the profound impact of their work.
